5 Questions That Inspire Growth

When you look at great people you can’t help but wonder how’d they do that?  How’d they grow from where they were to where they are? The common thing I’ve learned about “High thriving achievers” is their journey began with a thought or series of thoughts that guided them every step of the way. Every step they took inspired them to take the next step until they got to the exact place they wanted to be.

Every Good Step Inspires Growth

I started working out with Camp Gladiator about, an awesome personal training camp that everyone should join.  I picked the early morning workout so that I could get it out of the way at the start of my day. I had 3 thoughts in my head: 1. Get everything you can out of this 2. Keep coming 3. Don’t make excuses to quit.

The first day was exhausting. We did warm up exercises. The warm up was the workout that I had been doing for years. By the time we got to the workout, I didn’t think that I had anything left to give. I couldn’t believe how long an hour took to pass that morning, but I managed to pull through. The next day it felt like every muscle in my body hurt. Sitting down and standing up were major events that day.

With all of the muscular backlash that I was getting I didn’t see how I was physically equipped to go back to camp. But when I looked back on how I completed hardest workout that I ever did in my life, I decided to go back again. Just thinking about completing my first day inspired me to show up for day 2.

Decide to Thrive

What are you thinking? What thoughts are guiding every step of your journey? Here’s 5 thought provoking questions that will help thrive as you step through your journey

5 Questions that Inspire Growth

1.  Do you feel that you have a calling to do something? What is it?

A calling is God’s invitation for you to do “Something” for Him that adds value to yourself and others. What is that “Something” that’s burning inside of you to do?   What “Value” are you excited to add to another person’s life?

2.  Who do YOU think you are?

You’re no accident. The thoughts you think about yourself matter more than the thoughts other people think about you. Why? Because it’s the thoughts between your ears that inspires you to action. Believing the best thoughts about you lead to positive actions.

3.  If you can turn the knob of your life 1 notch forward, where would you put it?

Many things in life can shift our focus from majoring on the one thing that we are most passionate about. As much as we would like to rip up our pesky to do lists that has nothing to do with your passion, we can’t because day to day things must get done. This question reminds us what to keep passion on our schedule even when life shows up.

4.  What’s in your way?

What’s the why? When thinking about the question above, what exactly keeps you from turning that page in your life? Do away with, go around or leap over any obstacles that stand in the way of you becoming your best self.

5.  Time is in front of you. How do you want to use it?

Time is a precious commodity. Be intentional about how you spend it. What are the main activities on your calendar that keep you too busy to focus on your personal development goals? Double check your “Daily” schedule to see how you can phase in your personal development activities. Every moment you intentionally spend on bettering you is a great investment.
Happy thriving!
